Better to be an optimist and wrong than a pessimist and right

“Better to be an optimist and wrong than a pessimist and right.” 🚀

That was a point Elon Musk made recently at the World Economic Forum, and it really stuck with me.

On the surface, it sounds risky. But innovation rarely comes from certainty. It comes from backing ideas early, testing them, learning fast — and accepting that some bets won’t pay off.

That mindset matters in our industry too.

At iTrust, we’re deliberately choosing optimism — not blind confidence, but the belief that there’s a better way to work. One that’s less transactional and more advisory. Built on real expertise, trust, and long-term partnership.

It means rethinking our role using AI as an enabler to help us think better and move faster — without losing the human judgement that actually creates value.

Will we get everything right first time? Probably not.
But waiting for perfect certainty feels like the bigger risk.

Optimism, when paired with accountability and learning, isn’t naive — it’s often where real innovation starts.
