Being an expert in your field is what sets you apart from your competition. It’s what provides value to your clients (and in the recruitment sector to your candidates) your peers and those you are mentoring and coaching. It takes time, training and determination to raise yourself up to a place where you can call yourself an expert though and not everyone has the mettle for this.
I began my career 10 years ago, initially in International Affairs, which led me into international IT recruitment.
It is a journey which has enabled me to work across several international businesses and live in Brazil, New Zealand, France, London and now Barcelona. Here I am privileged to have established iTrust Partnering’s newest office, with an ever-growing, international delivery team.
One of the things I am proudest of is that I can call myself an expert and that I am surrounded by a team that also have the passion to strive so they too can call themselves experts.
Our latest new starter, Jörg, was learning within his first week that iTrust is unusual in the rigorous internal qualification process, including DNA checks, that we put every professional through. This works both ways of course; the ability to paint a picture about the journey that a business has been on and the vision they have for the future, these story-telling skills are required for harnessing the necessary feedback from a professional, that this company is indeed the right fit for them. All this is essential background work before we present associates to clients. The success of this approach? we let our clients speak for themselves: - https://www.itrustpartnering.com/client-testimonials
Then there is the sector-specific expertise needed of both new and emerging technologies and their applications. The way digitalisation and technical applications will be utilised over the next 10-15 years, will differ in Life Sciences than it will in the Manufacturing/Processing industry and again in the Banking & Insurance sectors.
We spend time as a team every week, brainstorming and sharing intel on developments in tech and the sectors that we commonly support clients in. It’s difficult to keep up to date with all the latest technologies, digital tools, expectations within the market...the whole point of employing a staffing company, either to search for the right staff, or to support you finding your next role, is that they are the experts who can ease the whole process for you, so you can get on with your day job.
