Robots take to the track….and the arrivals lounge….and the hotel lobby….

May 22, 2019

This time next year we will be fast approaching the 2020 Tokyo Olympics - but will anyone lucky enough to be attending, be anticipating a fluffy robotic cat to carry their bags at the airport?  Or will those of us enjoying the sporting action from the comfort of our armchairs, be able to tell that athletes have been training against robotic competitors?

From supporting tourists with translation and directions, to providing demonstrations and interactive displays at the stadium, robots will have a very real presence at the next Games.

Aside from the fun, cool factor, robots are helping address the serious issue of aging population and labour shortage in Japan.

The roles that we are working with are increasingly requiring RPA experience – watch this space to see how quickly other nations catch up with Japan and utilise robots in such creative ways!
